  • No. Young Living do not use pesticides on their farms or their partner farms.

  • Unfortunately not all essential oils are made the same as the industry is unregulated, meaning many companies can add fillers/synthetics or water to their essential oil bottles and legally only put in 5% pure essential oil into the bottle. Young living thankfully have a seed to seal pledge where from the seed being planted, to the oil being sealed in the bottle, they ensure the commitment of the highest quality standards.

  • Young Living essential oils don’t have a shelf life, given they are stored correctly. Upright, in dark glass out of direct sunlight in cool temperatures.

  • It is recommended not to store undiluted essential oils in plastic containers as the plastics can contaminate the pure essential oil. Store in its original containers or if you are wanting to store in a different container ensure it is dark glass.

  • Steam distillation and cold pressing are the most common ways of extracting the essential oil from the plants/botanicals. Some oils are made from resin tapping.
