Hi, I’m Bec.

A mama to my 2 beautiful children. Living on the west coast of Australia, dreaming of traveling in a coaster in our big beautiful backyard we call home.

I started Imani Collective to educate and inspire families and share my passion for low-tox living. Once I was aware of the toxic chemicals in our everyday products - I couldn’t turn back. I wish I knew sooner especially when I was pregnant with our son but, you don’t know what you don’t know, right? Im thankful I knew by the time I fell pregnant with our daughter. So, I needed to shout it from the rooftops and find a way to educate as many people as possible about the dangers in our homes.

how i got into essential oils

I was aware of Essential Oils but never really took much notice into them other than the fact that they smell nice. Not until I went on a road trip up North of WA that I really took notice of their benefits. I was skeptical of EO for a while, like-most. I suffer from motion sickness and don’t do well on long trips in the car if I’m not the driver.

A friend used Young Living oils and had brought some along on our trip. THANKGOD! 2 drops under my tongue & within 2 minutes my motion sickness had disappeared… Mind blown.

So, when I got home I started researching Essential Oils and the different ways to use them. Once I started I couldn’t stop. I very quickly realised products I had been using, my family had been using were actually super toxic and detrimental to our health. I learnt the term ‘Fragrance’ is an umbrella of a chemical cocktail for companies to hide behind and unfortunately the industry is unregulated.

Not long later I grabbed my starter bundle, wanting to switch out as much as I could as quickly as I could. Diving right into all of the free resources, classes, and learning DIY recipes. Today we use these little bottles of plant magic everyday for; sleep support, hormones, skin, cleaning, you name it.
